Paddington in Peru is about the beloved bear Paddington who returns home to visit his Aunt Lucy. The movie follows Paddington and the Brown family on an adventure through the Amazon rainforest and the mountain peaks of Peru. It is a thrilling adventure and unexpected journey that continues the Paddington films.
It is a British film that continues Paddington’s story. You o not have to have seen the previous films to enjoy this new adventure.

Paddington in Peru is the third film in the series based on Michael Bond’s cherished kids’ books. Paddington time travels from London to Peru after his beloved Aunt Lucy goes missing.
While no serious harm comes to any of the characters, there are moments of peril, threat, and danger. This includes characters being held at gunpoint, chased, tied up, and hit on the head. A boat capsizes, a light airplane crashes, and ghostly images appear. But none of this is more intense than in the previous movies.
Paddington remains kindhearted but also shows courage and perseverance in his quest with the Brown family. Along the way, they encounter characters like riverboat captain (Antonio Banderas) and the Reverend Mother, whose intentions may not be as noble as they seem.
While kids may enjoy the change of scenery, bringing Paddington back to his natural habitat means there’s somewhat less slapstick humor this time around. The cast also feels less diverse, with no notable Peruvian actors despite the film’s setting. But there are clear messages about never giving up on those you love and the idea that taking risks and embracing adventure can sometimes pay off.

Is Paddington from Peru?
Although Paddington lives in London, England, he originally came from Peru. He was brought up by his Aunt Lucy after he was orphaned following an earthquake when he was just a few weeks old. When Aunt Lucy went to live in the Home for Retired Bears in Lima, she decided to send him to England to live.
The original author based Paddington on his memories of refugees and evacuees during World War II. The character symbolizes the experience of immigration to Britain and the country’s welcoming attitude towards newcomers.

Paddington en Perú includes connections to legends of Rumi Rock & El Dorado. The legend of El Dorado is central to the plot of the film. El Dorado is a mythical lost city that is said to contain the most valuable gold in Peru.
What is the legend of El Dorado? According to legend, the Incas entrusted their most valuable gold to the spirits of the jungle to keep secret. The Spanish invaders found all the treasures of Peru except for the gold.
The gold is said to be hidden in the forest forever.
