You must have Internet and Youtube access for videos and authentic resources + Canva account if you want to edit the Canva slides. Or you can use the included editable Google Slides.

When to do this piñata unit?

• The included activities would be best for late Spanish 1, Spanish 2, or Spanish 3
• For multiple years my end of the year Spanish project for Spanish 4 was a Paper Mâché piñata craft. It started as making a cinco de mayo piñata.
• Many teachers do Spanish class Christmas projects using a Las Posadas piñata as Spanish Christmas projects.
• A Spanish culture unit is a great short unit to do around Spring Break, state testing, a short conference week, Hispanic Heritage Month piñata, or just any time you need a little break from your regular curriculum grind. 
• Depending on how much time you have, it could be as short as a couple of days of cultural exploration, or as long as a few-day mini-unit. It would also be great as an end-of-the-year Spanish class unit. You could assign the worksheets &/or slides as Spanish emergency sub plans.
